Classes:
Hack Class: $8/class
Jumper/Hunter: $10/class or $25/div
Dressage: $12/test minimum 20 entries
Stabling: $10.00/day
Stabling is limited this year so first come first serve.
Stabling must be paid in advance to reserve. Shavings will be provided. A cleaning deposit of $25.00 is required on a separate cheque and will be refunded at the end of the show if your stall is cleaned to the ground. There is no on-site wheelbarrow.
Stall Decorating contests. Decorate your stall according to the Fair’s theme and have a chance to win your stabling for free. Show committee will pick best decorated stall based on most coverage and use of the fair theme and educational content.
Exhibitor’s Pass:
This show occurs during the Nechako Valley Exhibition and accordingly everyone admitted to the grounds will have to pay the gate fee upon entering. Upon entry to the fair ground after paying the gate fee go to the horse show office and obtain a refund if you have paid for an Exhibitor’s Pass with your horse show entry. An Exhibitor’s Pass costs $10.00 and allows access to the grounds for the duration of the fair. A day pass costs $8.00 and is payable at the gate.
Refund Policy:
1. No refunds of entry fees without a signed veterinary or doctor’s certificate.
2. Exceptions will be made for horses recognized as visibly unsound or ill by the show managers.
3. Stall refunds will be made under policies 1 & 2 above, and if the stall has not been used.
4. Refunds will be mailed out ASAP after the show.
Special Rules:
1. All classes will be judged under current EC Rule Books. The show committee reserves the right to decide any point not covered by the Rule Books. Protests will be handled by the show committee at their discretion.
2. The Nechako Valley Exhibition will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to persons, animals or equipment during the show.
3. The show committee reserves the right to cancel any class with an insufficient number of entries, and divide or combine classes as necessary.
4. There will be no refund of entry fees without a veterinarian certificate (see Refund Policy above). Physician’s certificates for riders will be honoured within seven days of the show closing.
5. All competitors must wear numbers in the warm-up areas as well as during the competition.
6. Horses not competing in the show are not allowed in the warm-up areas or show arenas.
7. All juniors riding on the show ground must wear an ASTM approved safety helmet with a permanently affixed harness. All competitors are encouraged to ride in appropriate head gear at all times while on the show grounds.
8. NO SMOKING allowed in the barn areas.
9. The show manager reserves the right to remove horses from unauthorized stalls.
10. All dogs must be kept on a leash.
11. Rider Ages:
Junior C – riders who have not reached their 12th birthday as of Jan. 1, 2011.
Junior B – riders who have reached their 12th but not their 15th birthday as of Jan. 1, 2011.
Junior A – riders who have reached their 15th but not their 18th birthday as of Jan. 1, 2011.
Senior – riders who have reached their 18th birthday.
12. Green Rider: Must be in their first year of showing.
13. Riders must be neatly attired. Proper dress is encouraged.
14. The show committee encourages riders to be courteous to their horses and other competitors in the barns and riding areas.
15. Please be courteous to the horse show committee and helpers. We are all volunteers!

Ribbons to 6th Place. Prize for 1st place if more than 3 in class.
High Point Awards:
Dressage
Highest total score from two tests. Tie will be broken using the highest single percentage score. Three high points awarded. Training level, First level, and Second level.Hunter/Jumper
Hi point determined on total points earned in the 3 classes of one division Overall highest points of all divisions will be the winner. Ties to be broken by the number of firsts from eligible classes. Two divisions Low and High. Low Hunter is Divisions 1 to 4 and High Hunter is Divisions 5 to 7. Low Jumper is Divisions 8 and 8 and 9 and High Jumper is Divisions 10 to 12. Rider/Horse combination can only entry two consecutive height/divisions.English hack Horse
Horse/rider combination with the highest points from English Pleasure, road hack, show hack and equitation. High points will be awarded in two divisions Jr C/B and Jr A/SrShowmanship/Confirmation
PErson with highest TOTAL points earned from open showmanship and open halter will be the winner.

Rider must be in it’s first year of showing. Must compete in 1 walk trot test, EP FYR, Equitation FYR, and Poles on the ground FYR. Highest number of points will determine winner.Best Turned Out
Horse/rider combination and is consistently turned out properly: tack clean and in good repair, mount is clean and tidy, rider in proper attire and tidy.
All competitors are reminded to compete within their level and ability.

All dressage classes and times will be posted Thursday evening at the light horse show office and the dressage ring. It is your responsibility to check for your times and order of go. NO waiting for late horses. Entries will be limited to first 40 PAID rides. All tests to be ridden in a 20x60 ring.
