Special Rules:
1. One entry per exhibitor in each class.
2. Display on paper plates and cover with plastic wrap.
3. All exhibits to be grown by the Exhibitor in 2016.
4. Name the variety on exhibit tag if possible.
Judging Information:
1. All vegetables will be judged according to the Government scale of Points set out in Circular #50B, which can be obtained on application to the Department of Agriculture, Victoria or the local provincial branch in Vanderhoof. Root vegetables should have 1/2 inch stems and roots should be clean and intact.
2. All fruits will be judged according to standards of perfection as set out in the BC Circular #50C. If, in the opinion of the judge any entry is not up to standard, no award will be given.
3. Judges look for Quality. This is the most important factor. Entries should be clean, properly trimmed & handled so as to make them appear attractive.
4. Judges look for Uniformity. The various specimens in each entry should be uniform in size, form, colour & quality.
5. Judges look for Condition. Entries should be in good condition, not past their prime, and free from blemishes, bruises & breaks.
6. Judges look for Colour. Colours should be bright, clear and attractive.
7. Judges look for Size. Entries should be of a size that reflects the stage at which the produce has reached its greatest perfection.
8. For all ‘Other’ classes, entries will be judged on its own merit or with other like kind.
