Commercial Exhibits - all weekend, Small Animal Barn and around the fairgrounds
Friday & Saturday, 9 am to 8 pm
Sunday, 9 am to 4 pm
Commercial displays and sales have moved to the Small Animal Barn!
Come shopping at the fair! All weekend long local vendors, from artists to farm equipment suppliers, will be set-up around the fair grounds selling their goods.

Seniors' and Teen Day - Friday
On Friday the entry fee is only $6.00 for Seniors (65+) and Teenagers (13-18 yrs).
Seniors, come and enjoy the country atmosphere with a friend.
Teenagers, come shop, eat and just hang out.
We want to see teens and seniors at the fair, so come and take advantage of the reduced rate!
Teen Idol Competition - Friday 2 pm, Music Shed
All Teens ages 13-19 years of age in the Nechako Valley--singers, musicians, dancers and bands--are invited to compete in this fun competition.
Experienced musicians will judge the performances.
Applications can be downloaded here (coming soon!) and require a $5 registration fee. They are due by July 30th and can be left at the Vanderhoof Chamber of Commerce, or mailed to:

Mechanical Bulls - Saturday 10 am to 6 pm
RIDE 'EM COWBOY! The large bull for all you adult cowgirls and cowboys, and the baby bull for the junior cowgirls and cowboys. Come on out and test your riding skills. Do you have what it takes to last?
Extreme Trail Class - Sunday 2 pm - 5 pm
Here’s a chance to show off your skills and those of your horse. The Extreme Trail Class is designed to test the abilities of the horse and its rider.
There are four classes:
Junior - Ages 10-14
Senior - Ages 15-18
Adult - Ages 19 and over
Green Horse - for horses between the ages of 3-5 years come test your young horse and see if it has what it takes! Compete for a cash prize against other young horses.
Beginner Rider Class - Never rode a course before
Entry Fee: $25.00
Junior Jackpot Gymkhana - Saturday 8 am Outdoor Arena
Nechako Valley Saddle Club's Junior Gymkhana!
100% of entry fees will be added to the pot, and payout to 3rd place in each event! Barrels, Polebending, Stakes

Dog Obedience Competitions - Friday 4 pm and Saturday 4 pm, grassy area beside Exhibit Building
Ever wanted to test your pooch at obedience and agility? Randa's Rascals will have a course set up with free training tips and exercises to improve your handling and your pup's performance.
Enjoy an agility demontration and participate in fun obedience and agility competitions! All ages and experience levels welcome.

Bovine Ultrasound Pregnancy Testing Demo - Saturday, after the 4-H Auction in the 4-H Pavilion
Come and see a baby calf in utero. Bovne Ultrasound Pregnancy Testing gives you a picture of the fetus, or two, while still inside the mamma cow's belly. This less invasive technique is fast, accurate, and an exciting visual experience.

Musical Entertainment - all weekend
The 2017 musical line-up will be varied this year with new group Zavan (a jazz group from PG), our good friends Rosewood's Diary, 45 Slide, Colin Walker and Macho Tsnami, Karen Cruise & Friends, Cowboy Church, Jerusha White with band (her 4th appearance here!), Dave Morrison & Playing for Keeps, Lloyd Muir, Sam Holden, Dave Forsbeg, CJ Olin, and a spectacular Canada 150 celebration.
It all happens on the Big Stage on Friday and Saturday, and under the Alcan Bandstand on Sunday. Relax and enjoy the great music, a little dancing and a lot of fun.
